my daughter doesn't attend the Career Center because her program is also available at SHS. However, I like the opportunity that this allows children. Fro those going to college from high school, it gives them a leg up on other students going straight grom high school. It gives them a taste of what they may do in a potential career with some basic level skills to help them find success in their future education.

35. Name 2 things that the Warren County Career Center needs to improve.

would like to see it more integrated in the high school..offer all classes at the high school or add a adjoining building so students do not have to choose high school or career center. They need to be able to be involved in all things in high school. We keep passing levys for improvements and paying ridic amount of taxes - a vocational building needs to be added as many graduating students can no longer afford a 4 yr college so having a vocational center attached to the high school would be a benefit to all students and parents.

Although my child likes Mrs. Miller, they do not feel that they are learning much. There's not much instruction. Mostly just learning by playing with the software or from other students who are further along in their skills. This is so frustrating that my student is no longer interested in pursuing a career in the arts.

Children who are not serious about the program they are in should not be allowed to stay. There are many that were not allowed in the program due to not having enough room, yet some of the students enrolled in the session were not serious about the program and inhibited the learning experience through their disruptions. This should be a very strict rule due to the amount of children that want in the programs and the amount of state funding that is being put towards them. It is a shame to see a child not get an opportunity becuase a space is taken by someone who is not seriuous about it.
