4 Teachers- This is a web based tools that helps teachers incorporate technology into their teaching offering lessons, quizzes, rubrics and calendars.
 
Animoto- This site allows you to make professional looking videos with music. It is free up to 30 seconds for educators and students. You can use video footage or still pictures.
 
Atomic Learning- This is a resource you can use to help you utilize technology. We have a paid subsription for our school to use this tool.
 
Aviary Education- It allows image editing, vector editing, audio editing and music creation while using private student accounts.
 
BeFunky- This allows its users to easily photo edit and add special effects.
 
Big Huge Labs- Do different things with your photographs like creating jigsaw puzzles and mosaics.
 
Blabberize- You are able to put 30 seconds of audio to any picture, making the subject "talk."
 
Bubbl.us- This is a tool used for brainstorming and word mapping.
 
Casa Notes- Use this site full of templates for creating easy notes to send home with students. It makes them in English and Spanish.
 
Copyright friendly wikispace- This site has oodles of copyright and open sourced pictures and other materials.
 
Dictionary.com- Dictionary.com is a great resource for finding definitions, learning the word of the day, playing word games, and getting language translations.
 
Dipity- It is a free digital timeline website that provides users with a multimedia approach, allowing you to use video, audio, images, text, links and social media. This timeline site stands out from the others because of its special features.
 
Diigo- This is a really neat site that helps you to organize your virtual content in a cloud so that you can retrieve it from anywhere with an internet connection. It has virtual highlighters, sticky notes, bookmarks, etc.
 
Dropbox- Be able to have your information everywhere you go with Dropbox.
 
Edmodo- This is a "social networking" site created specifically for teachers and students.
 
Edublogs- This site offers a free blogging service for students and teachers. It allows its patrons to share work, class notes and pictures online while still allowing for privacy.
 
Eduscapes- This page lists many resources that has copyright free images and media.
 
Flash Meeting- It is an online resource that allows people in various locations meet together. It is like Skype, only it allows more that two separate parties "meet" at the same time.
 
Geni- This site hosts free genealogy and millions of profiles.
 
Glogster EDU- This is a great visual way for people to express their creativity, thoughts, knowledge, and ideas. Here you make interactive posters.
 
INFOhio- This is an amazing free resource that is available to students, teachers, parents, and administrators in the state of Ohio. Please contact Mrs. Milner or your local school media specialist for the password if you need to log-on.
 
Jamendo- This is an awesome site that allows you to legally download music for free.
 
Jing- This is another site you can use to make screenshots and easily share it via email, the web, IM, twitter or blogs.
 
Lexile- This is a great site to reference if you would like to search for an item and find out its designated reading level.
 
Livebinders- This is a compilation of many awesome education technology tools and 21st century tools.
 
Make Beliefs Comix- Using this site you can create your own comic strip utilizing premade characters, objects and your own text. Using this site could really jazz up vocabulary assignments.
 
Museum Box- The Museum Box site provides the tools for you to build up an argument or description of an event, person or historical period by placing items in a virtual box.
 
Myebook- This site allows you to publish your own ebooks.
 
Myfreshplans.com- Engaging learning tools for the modern K-12 classroom
 
National Library of Virtual Manipulatives- This is an amazing bank of web-based math manipulatives. They are separated into appropriate grades and specific content area. In the age of Smartboards, this is an amazing tool!
 
NCES Kids' Zone- This has too many skill building items to list. My favorites are the easy graphing templates and the items pertaining to probability.
 
Noodle Tools- This helps teachers and students through the learning process.
 
Online stopwatch- This site has many ways to keep students aware of how much time they have. It counts down to a time as well as up to a deadline.
 
Ourtimeline- This site will allow you to create a timeline for a span of time ranging from 5-140 years.
 
Pandora- This is a free online radio service where you can control the content to play the types of music you like.
 
Photo Peach- Here you can quickly load pictures, add captions and accompanying music for a fast slide show.
 
Pixlr- This is a free online photo editing tool. It lets its users apply neat effects very easily without the cost or complication of using Photoshop Elements or similar tools.
 
Podomatic- This is the world's biggest free site that helps to create podcasts.
 
Prezi- Forget boring PowerPoint presentations, make a Prezi instead.
 
Readwritethink.org- It is a jam-packed site with classroom, professional development and parental resources all pertaining to language arts.
 
Screenshots-Have you ever wondered how people can put a screen shot in their notes or presentations? Here's one mechanism.
 
Skype- This allows people to do free video calls.
 
Shmoop- This is a resource that give study guides, lesson plans, web links, study guides for major standardized tests, and tips that help with the transition of going from high school to college.
 
Storybird.com- This is an online writing tool that allows people to choose pictures from various artists and then accompany their work with original writing.
 
Tag My Doc- This is a free service that allows its users to apply a QR tag on a document. This resource allows people to assign a code even when the document is NOT online.
 
StoryJumper. It is a place to create and discover stories for kids. You can use their artwork or upload your own photos.
 
TagXedo- This allows people to take famous speeches, news articles, lyrics and other documents and create a word cloud in the form of a picture.
 
Teachers.net- This is a great resource for teachers. It offers oodles of lesson plans, possible project ideas and a place to network.
 
teAchnology- It is a get resource for creating original timelines, educational games and many more technologically based resources.
 
Terra Clues- This is where you'll find scavenger hunts for academic subject areas.
 
Teen Buckeye Book Award (Grades 9-12)- Books that have gotten this award are nominated by and voted on by teen only. It is a great place to see what other teens love to read.
 
Thinkfinity- This site gives many resources for teachers like lessons plans and professional development opportunities as well as games & tools for students and parents.
 
Voicethread- This is an incredibly interactive way to communicate and interact about a given subject.
 
Voki- This is a free service that allows you to create personalized speaking avatars and use them on your blog, profile, and in email messages.
 
Wattpad- This is a popular ebook community where people share their writing, read each other’s work and make comments on the pieces. Members can follow particular people’s writing and start literary based clubs.
 
Wordle- A Wordle is a "word cloud," a visual representation of any given thought, concept, or idea. At this site you can make one really easily!
 
Xtranormal- This is a site dedicated to making free animated videos.
 
ZooBurst- It is a digital storytelling tool that allows you to create 3D stories that can be viewed at angle just by rotating your mouse.
